From Passion to Profession: Mark’s Journey to Becoming Your Trusted Driving Instructor

Hi, I’m Mark Smith, the founder of Expert Driving School, and driving has been a passion of mine since I was a child. Picture this: a seven-year-old boy, eyes wide with excitement, begging his dad to let him steer the car while sitting on his knee. That boy was me! Growing up in the countryside, I was fortunate to learn driving early, mastering the art of handling a vehicle long before I could legally drive. On the very day I turned 17, I passed my driving test, and I haven’t looked back since.

My 20s were filled with jobs that had me driving all over, and it was during this time that I decided to take my advanced driving qualification. This experience only fueled my passion further, and I knew I wanted to share my love for driving by becoming an instructor. However, life had other plans, and the onset of COVID-19 in 2019 delayed my dream. But come 2021, I finally achieved my goal and started Expert Driving School.

Beyond driving, I’m a community man. I coach the local junior football team and love spending time with my wife and two children. Whether it’s cooking up a storm in the kitchen or playing a game with the kids, family time is precious to me.

My journey to becoming a driving instructor is rooted in a genuine love for driving and a desire to help others gain the confidence and skills they need on the road. At Expert Driving School, I bring my extensive experience and personal approach to every lesson, ensuring you’re not just learning to drive but mastering it with confidence and ease.
